THOUGHT

Although I played around with the concept of THOUGHT in the first edition of this paper, I am not sure I am the first to do so. I have since learned that others have also played around with THOUGHT as a power. But here in our paper, we are using THOUGHT as a power which could be used as a solution to our problem. We can use THOUGHT to dream up solutions or answers for any situation. So, let’s play around some more with THOUGHT as a problem solver, or even as a problem creator.

There is a saying among the faith religions that the SUPREME POWER created us in his own image. That
does not have anything to do with color of skin, or eyes, or tall or short, or slant eyed or round eyes, or even male or female. If that saying is a fact, it refers to our ability to THINK.  And in so doing, we have the ability to “create”. Thinking automatically leads to creation. We create in our dreams; we shall discus this in much greater depth later.

Right now, we are concerned about thought as applied in conjunction with the SUPREME POWER and the creation of the COSMOS.

Not only can we think up solutions, but we can create situations which are entirely REAL to us, individually. I am talking about DREAMS. When one dreams; they are the dream master. They are creating the story line as well as the entire setting. At the time of the dream, to the dreamer, it is just as real as the non- sleep world. (We will be discussing the dream-master thing a lot more later on.)
([At this point (again that phrase]) I am inserting a personal experience.)

When I was seven years old I started being aware of my dreams. It really bothered me that in my dreams, I was not aware I was dreaming. One morning, while my mother was combing my hair, I asked why was I not aware of what was happening. She had no real answer except that this was the way it was. That was not an answer for me and I was determined to be aware in my dream that I was dreaming.

However, morning after morning I awoke not having accomplished my mission, Until—Finally–One morning I awoke with mission accomplished. In my dream I was playing with one of my playmates, and I mentioned (exact words) “we are dreaming”.
And of all things, he had the nerve to answer me! He said, exact words again, “no, we are not”. It’s my damn dream, how dare he tell me what the situation is.

Since I am the dream master here, I obviously put those words into his mouth, or, at least, I had created a person who was capable of such a response to my comment. But I was completely not unaware of doing so. In my mind, he was a total separate, complete entity with a will of his own. But we cannot escape from the fact that his response was my doing, at least, indirectly.
But we also cannot escape from the fact, that to me, at that time in my dream, the reality of the situation was that he was a creature completely separate from me with a mind of his own. To me, this was total reality until the time when I awoke. I had, and we all do, created my own reality with its own logic. It was logic which would never pass as being logic in my wakeful life, but this was not my wakeful life. This was a complete separate universe of my own creation, for as long as it lasted. And, very important, the cast included a character capable of separate, independent thinking.

Now, what is the point of my relating to the reader this long story which affects only me? And the answer is—If I, as an insignificant creature can dream up, even a very limited bit of reality, what can the SUPREME POWER do as the DREAM MASTER? Its power is unlimited in the ability to create reality in its dream.
This is 7 Feb 2022. Last night I was dreaming about something, I forget what, and in the dream was a young lady with whom I used to be a friend. All of a sudden, out of nowhere she got angry with me for no reason, In my dream I was stunned. We had always been good friends. What right did she have getting angry with me in my dream? You say I was the dream master, so I created it. OBVIOUSLY But she was still acting as though she was a character separate from what I would desire in my creation.

(We will discuss more about the SUPREME POWER later on. You, the reader, will note that frequently some words and terms are mentioned, only to have it explained that more understanding of those words and terms will come later. This is partly because they NEED to be mentioned now, and partly because we are not yet ready to dig deeply into explaining those said words or terms.)
So, we are saying, the reality which we think we experience in our dream, is really found in the dream of the SUPREME POWER acting thru us, in the role of the great DREAM MASTER. A bit confusing.

This goes hand-in-hand with the Hindu concept that Brahma dreams the Great Dream, which is our cosmos with its reality. Every now and then he awakes, destroying the cosmos, rolls over, goes back to sleep, and dreams again, creating a new cosmos. Please remember this, it is most important later. (I am not trying to favor any religion. This just fits our discussion at this time.)

We now have the SUPREME POWER and REALITY of our cosmos. Now let’s see how we can make the whole thing work to create reality—logically, as our three dimension universe with our culture understands the concept of “logic”.
And the key to understanding is THOUGHT. The dreams, both of the DREAM MASTER and ourselves, are the result of thinking, or THOUGHT. And if there was no need for this mental process, then the mental process would not exist. THOUGHT exists out of necessity. And that THOUGHT, which is far, far above our own ability to think, can only emanate from one source. Does that again mean we are looking at the face of _______?

I am aware that when we think of the SUPREME POWER playing the role of DREAM MASTER, it seems as though we are making the “role” too ordinary, too common, by lowering the power too much to our level. But we do so using a very BROAD interpretation of the capability of our own ability to dream equaling the level of the DREAM MASTER. We are saying a dream is a dream, which, of course, is not the case. Those dreams, as we have stated before, which we see, or experience as REALITY, far exceed our ability to create in our dreams.

And if THOUGHT, out of necessity is used to “create”. What does that do to the concept that the SUPREME POWER merely rolls dice? Creation out of necessity does not lead to rolling dice. It leads to the mental process of THOUGHT to determine what must be done. But why is there a “must”? Is the answer beyond us? Why is the SUPREME POWER doing this creating? Is there a “must”?
